Fluffy Breakfast Bread – Quick & Easy!

This soft and delicious breakfast bread is incredibly easy to make and requires minimal ingredients. With a light, flaky texture and rich buttery flavor, it’s perfect for a warm morning treat. No yeast is needed, making it a fast and foolproof recipe!

Equipment

Ingredients
  

For the Dough:

  • 2 cups water (400 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (8 grams)
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour (600 grams)
  • 1 packet baking powder (10 grams)

For Rolling & Layering:

  • 200 grams 200 grams melted butter
  • 100 tea cup oil (100 ml)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Dough
    In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of water and 1 packet of baking powder. Stir well.
    Gradually add 4.5 cups of flour and salt. Mix everything together.
    Knead the dough for about 3–4 minutes until it becomes soft and pliable.
    Cover with a clean cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Divide and Shape
    Lightly flour your work surface and divide the dough into two equal portions.
    Take one half and further divide it into four equal pieces. Repeat with the second half, yielding a total of 8 pieces.
    Roll each piece into a ball.
  • Resting the Dough
    Place all 8 dough balls onto a floured plate. Cover with plastic wrap and let them rest for 15 minutes.
  • Flatten and Layer
    Dust your work surface again and roll out each dough ball into a thin, flat sheet.
    Brush a mixture of melted butter and oil over the flattened dough.
    Roll the dough into a long strip, then shape it into a spiral or circular coil.
    Repeat this step with the remaining dough balls.
  • Chilling
    Arrange the shaped dough on a large plate, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Final Shaping & Cooking
    After chilling, roll each dough piece out into a thin, even layer..
    Heat a pan over medium heat and cook each flattened dough piece, flipping frequently until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve & Enjoy
    Once cooked, remove from the pan and serve warm. This bread pairs beautifully with butter, jam, or honey!
