- 2 cups Samp crushed corn kernels
- Water for boiling the Samp
- 1 tsp Aromat or seasoning of choice
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 1 tsp spice for rice optional
- 1-2 Tbsp Cremora or milk powder
- 1-2 slices of cheese optional
Boil the Samp:In a pot, combine 2 cups of Samp with 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil on high heat for about 5 minutes. Simmer:Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the Samp is tender. Drain the Samp:Once the Samp is cooked, drain the excess starchy water. Add Seasoning & Cremora:Stir in 1 tsp Aromat, 1 tsp mixed herbs, and 1 tsp spice for rice. Add 1-2 Tbsp Cremora and half a glass of water, then simmer for 5 more minutes. Final Touch of Creaminess:Add a bit more Cremora for extra creaminess and switch off the heat. Optional Cheese Addition:For a cheesy twist, top the Samp with 1-2 slices of cheese while it's still hot to allow it to melt.
